My Background
I've been an avid outdoorsman since my early teens. My free time was spent hiking and fishing the riverbanks near my childhood home, along with small game hunting and camping in the Adirondack Mountains.
This passion for adventure led me to join the military after High School.
I served with distinction in several military units, in multiple capacities as both an Operator and an Instructor.
Instructor Sgt. of Offensive & Defensive Tactics at Marine Combat Training Battalion.
Infantry Squad Leader, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit/ Amphibious Strike Force.
Infantry Squad Leader / Instructor NATO Forces.
Team Leader 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit/ Amphibious Strike Force.
Team Leader / Instructor NATO & Allied Forces.
Team Leader / Instructor Security Forces & Security Forces Battalion.
Team Leader, Joint Military and Law Enforcement Group.
Military Campaigns
Operation “Sharp Edge”
Operation “Desert Shield / Storm”
Operation “Enduring Freedom”
Throughout my career I completed numerous Advanced Training Courses and Military Schools, and I've been privileged to have served with some of the finest Marines, Sailors, Airmen, Soldiers, Coast Guardsmen, & Law Enforcement personnel to ever wear a uniform. I'm grateful for time spent with all of the professional men and women who served our country with honor.
Fast- Roping is like sliding down a 90 ft Firemans Pole out of the back of a helicopter. We perfected this technique to deploy a squad of 13 operators to the ground in less than 7 seconds.
Training NATO troops on an island in the Mediterranean Sea.
Checking in on my troops at an outpost somewhere in Pakistan.
Corrections/ Law enforcement
I retired from a career in Corrections with the state of New York.
The following is a list of highlights from beginning to retirement.
-10 years of maximum-security experience to include
Working at the infamous 'Sing-Sing'
Correctional Facility
&
a Super- max- 'Upstate Correctional Facility' known to house some of the most violent felons and escape artists in the U.S.
-8 years as a team member of the Corrections version of SWAT, known as CERT (Corrections Emergency Response Team)
After 10+ years of distinguished service I took a position at a drug treatment campus.
Upon completion of The Shock Incarceration Training Program, I became a 'Drill Instructor' in Shock.
I was selected to become a Staff Instructor and trained Officers on Military Drill & Ceremony Physical Training & various components of the Shock Program in a 4-week school environment for staff to eventually become 'Drill Instructors'.
From this position, I was selected to be a
'Drill Instructor' at 'Albany Training Academy' training entry level recruits to become Correction Officers in an 8-week training academy.
At the Training Academy the duties of 'Drill Instructor' included teaching
Drill & Ceremony, Daily Physical Training, Uniform & appearance, and Hands-on classroom instruction to include various components of Security and Programming in a correctional setting.
The Drill Instructor was responsible for running a highly regimented program instilling discipline & teamwork within the recruits in their charge.
I retired from the position of Drill Instructor after training thousands of Officers for the state of New York.
